Days start slowly at
Oyster Catcher Huskisson.

The way you wish every day could.

There’s coffee brewed barefoot in the kitchen. Newspapers on the deck. Kookaburras replace the hum of the morning commute.

Then walking, swimming, kayaking or fishing in the pristine national parks, followed by a dip in the clear waters of Jervis Bay.

After days spent relaxing and exploring, gather round the firepit for shared feasts and unhurried conversations. When sleep beckons, your plush king-sized bed and sumptuous linens await.

From the moment you walk into the house, you get the sense that something inside you is finally unwinding, in a way that just never seems possible back home. The light, airy beach house makes you want to kick off your shoes and settle in instantly. While the decor, artworks and thoughtful details set an instant tone of understated luxury; curated but comfy.

Those in the know will spot the signs that this space has been architecturally designed. Double-height ceilings in the entry pull warm air up and out the louvre windows, creating the perfect environment below. Hardwood windows, doors, flooring, decking, and stairs provide the perfect canvas for thoughtful interior design.

SLEEP & BATHE

Three bedrooms accommodate up to eight guests with ceiling fans and wardrobes in all. Two bedrooms are equipped with king beds, while the third offers a double bed and king single bunks, perfect for the kids. A port-a-cot is also available for those travelling with babies.

Two bathrooms, one with a bathtub, ensure everyone has privacy and space (and plush quality towels).

EAT

Push open the gas strut servery window to make full use of the well-equipped kitchen and outdoor dining area. The heart of the house is where you can prepare simple cheese platters through to multi-course holiday feasts. Cupboards are filled with all the crockery and glassware you could need while Smeg appliances, a dishwasher and Nespresso machine (with compostable pods) make light work of it. A highchair is also available.

RELAX

While the native gardens beam in through expansive windows and open doors, curated art and decor complement the scene. Australian artworks grace the walls of Oyster Catcher Huskisson, along with beautiful wallpaper and an extra large flat screen TV for family movie nights. All you need to bring is the popcorn!

WORK & PLAY

With the large bifold doors pushed back, the line blurs between your inside sanctuary and games of bag toss, barbecues and post-swim outdoor showers. If work beckons, a dedicated workspace with complimentary high-speed WiFi offers garden vistas to offset your deadlines. Then, once the kids are in bed and the laptop has been put away, spend your nights around the fire pit.

LOCATION

Huskisson is in the heart of Jervis Bay on the NSW South Coast, just under two and a half hours drive from Sydney – take a detour along the stunning Pacific Drive – or two-and-a-half hours from Canberra.

While most of what you could wish for is available on foot, Oyster Catcher Huskisson is the perfect location for your next family holiday in Jervis Bay. A10-minute drive from the famous Hyams Beach, and 10 minutes’ drive from Woolworths – or you can go the pub (10 minute walk) if you don’t feel like cooking and get the courtesy bus home! There are breweries and an indie cinema within a five-minute drive, a playground on the shores of the Moona Moona inlet, and walking trails to discover it all.

Don’t wait for a special occasion.

This is escapism accessible enough to become a family holiday tradition.

“Wow, Oyster Catcher is amazing. All the touch points are gorgeous. The perfect getaway to relax and rest.”
